Lebanon Lancers...

Lebanon became home to the newest Kentucky Basketball Developmental League in 2007.  The Lebanon Lancers opened their inaugural season Sat., April 12, at home in a double header against the Lexington Thoroughbreds 2007 KBDL playoff champs Central Ky. Express.

The KBDL schedule is regionally based and allows teams to play at home and closer to home more often. The KBDL has attracted the interest of dozens of pro, semi-pro and international pro basketball players, coaches and managers since it began. It’s objective is to create a minor league system that develops and trains talent for the international professional basketball leagues.

The Lancers are led by former University of Kentucky star Anthony Epps, former Mr. (Ky.) Basketball and West Virginia University’s Elton Scott, Western Kentucky University’s Boris Siakam, St. Catharine College’s Vince White and University of Tennessee Chattanooga’s Petie Spaulding.

Former Western Kentucky University star Mark Bell has signed on to steer the Lancers along with Transylvania University standout Michelle King and Kentucky Wesleyan’s John Bell.

Players that have competed in the KBDL include James Brewer (University of Louisville), Brandon Stockton (University of Kentucky), Chad Schweitzer (Indiana University), John Bentley (Eastern Kentucky University), Will Carleton (University of Utah/Georgetown), Brandon Jenkins (University of Louisville), Lamont Rolland (Louisiana State University), Perrin Johnson (University of Louisville), Jaron Brown (University of Pittsburg), Ravi Moss (University of Kentucky), Preston LeMaster (University of Kentucky)  and Lamont Roland (Louisiana State University).
