Heart of Kentucky
Children can learn discipline and the exciting and interesting aspects of martial arts at this event each May but the Heart of Kentucky Youth Festival, presented by John Cox Martial Arts, is so much more! The Festival has slides and bouncers, a race car display, model airplanes, a Karate photography studio, Stranger Danger classes, arts and crafts, martial arts demonstrations, 4-wheeler safety exhibit, a rock wall climb, helicopter display, great food and hot air balloon rides (weather permitting). It’s quite simply a wonderland for kids and, well, adults, too! Held Sat., May 17, in 2008 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. rain or shine at the Centre Square Convention Center, general admission is free (some activities might require a fee) and the Festival is open to kids of all ages.
This is a rare opportunity for kids that not only provides fun and educational activities but will introduce them to courage, values and strength of body and mind.
